Lisa and Nigel https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/10/lisa-and-nigel This wedding day started off in Comber for capturing the bridal preparation which is usually a busy and anxious time for any bride but not with this bride. She was very relaxed and enjoying the preparation and pampering.

Then it was a short trip to the non subscribing Presbyterian Church in Comber. After the relaxed family ceremony it was over to La Mon Hotel and for the pictures in the  beautiful gardens.

Lisa and Nigel were a pleasure to work with, and I'd like to wish the happy couple all the best in the years to come.

This is usually a busy and anxious time for any bride but not with this bride. She was very relaxed and enjoying the preparation and pampering.

When I was finished capturing the bridal preparation when went downstairs where I captured the relaxed family ceremony.  Followed by pictures in the somewhat wet but beautiful gardens in between the showers.

Stephanie and Brent https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/8/stephanie-and-brent I had been looking forward to this wedding as the couple had won the shoot through a competition I had ran.

I started in Coleraine at the brides house for preparation shots with the bridal party, continuing on to Ballymoney Church of God for the  relaxed, family orientated ceremony.

The reception was held at The Lodge Hotel in Coleraine where we were able to get some more photos of the lovely couple.  I enjoyed a beautiful meal before capturing some of the special moments during the speeches.

Stephanie and Brent were a wonderful couple to work with and I wish them a very happy married life together and along with their children.

Susan and Lohn https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/7/susan-and-lohn For this wedding it was a bit closer to home with it being in Newtownards and with it starting off at the brides house with the bridal preparation. This is a busy time for any bride and the rest of the bridal party.

When I was finished capturing the bridal preparation I headed up to Scrabo Golf Club which was the lovely venue for today's wedding. It was a bit of a nervous wait as the bride kept everyone waiting for a short while.

After the service it was out to the gardens at the golf club for photos with the famous Scrabo Tower which set a great background for the photos.

Susan and John were a pleasure to work with and a very relaxed couple, and I'd like to wish the happy couple all the best in the years to come.

When I was finished capturing the bridal preparation I set off for the church which was only a matter of minutes away. During the wedding there was also a special surprise as Mary's parents renewed their wedding vows. After the service it was off to Tannaghmore Gardens for photos around the stunning grounds.

The wedding party continued on to the Seagoe Hotel. Where we were able to exploit the beautiful grounds to get some attractive shots of the lovely couple and their friends and family.

Tracey and Alan https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/2/tracey-and-alan Today's wedding was a local one for me. I started off in Newtownards at the hairdressers and the brides house. The atmosphere was very relaxed even though it was just a matter of hours before the ceremony at the beautiful Bangor Castle. Which is a stunning location for the wedding, following the intimate ceremony we were able to visit the lovely walled garden. Tracey and Alan were so relaxed and clearly having such a fun day. The reception was at the beautiful and unique Rayanne House, Holywood with it's stunning views over Belfast lough. I had a fantastic day capturing the story of their day for this delightful couple. A day of smiles, laughter and much love. I'd like to wish Tracey and Alan many happy years together.

Edel and Ryan https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/1/edel-and-ryan For this wedding I made the short trip down the peninsula to the brides house for the bridal preparation. This is a busy time for any bride and the rest of the bridal party.

While the ladies continued their preparations there was time for a wee trip on the ferry to the other side of the lough to Strangford to see how the men were getting on.  Then it was back on the ferry to catch the bride leaving for the small country church in Ballygallget for a lovely family service.  This theme of family was continued as we travelled to visit with the grooms grandmother in a nearby care home.

The wedding party continued on to the Millbrook lodge with everyone boarding the ferry once more. At the hotel we were able to exploit the beautiful grounds to get some attractive shots of the lovely couple and their friends and family.

Edel and Ryan were a pleasure to work with and I'd like to wish the happy couple all the best in the years to come.

It was good to be able to get a few shoots of bridal preparation and her stunning Ivory Pearl wedding converse, and also a few shots of the men before service. After a lovely service we took a short walk to the Gardens of the hotel. Then back in the Hotel for the cutting of the cake and the final few shots with the lovely King and Queen . Karen and Hugh https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2017/1/karen-and-hugh It's always nice to be able to shoot a wedding for a friend or acquaintance, it makes the whole experience very special.  And this couple's wedding was indeed a very special day, from the beautiful bride and groom who were so very much in love, to every little detail that made this Christmas wedding a fun, relaxed and enjoyable day.

The ceremony took place in Limavady Arts & Cultural centre, where Mr & Mrs Frosty the Snowman greeted the guests, whose hearts were warmed by  a touching service and their tummies warmed by a nice cuppa while the couple made the most of one of the favourite plants of the season - mistletoe of course!

A few short steps down the road took us to The Classic where friends and family enjoyed a lovely meal and some sweet treats before dancing the night away.

Helen and Mark https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2016/10/helen-and-mark This wedding was set in the beautiful location of Hanover House, Coagh.  The Bride and her party got ready here giving me the opportunity to get some prep shots before moving on to St Swithens Parish Church, Magherafelt.  Where an excited Groom was waiting.  After a beautiful ceremony all the guests boarded the bus back to Hanover House where the party got going.  And where I was able to get some stunning shots of the newly married couple.

Carla and Thomas https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2016/7/carla-and-thomas This was my first wedding of 2016 and I made the a short trip to Annaclone to the brides house for the bridal preparation which is a busy time for any bride and the rest of the bridal party. Even Carla's pet dog had to get in on the action and get his wee tie put on.

After the preparation we made the short journey to the church where there was a farm theme with the bride having her grandfathers tractor there along with a few hay bales. After the cememory was over we all were treated to a cuppa and a scone which always goes down well on a long day.

The wedding party continued on to the Millbrook lodge where the weather was kind enough to allow us to get some beautiful shots outside.

Carla and Thomas were a pleasure to work with and I'd like to wish the happy couple all the best in the years to come.

Landscape Workshop https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2016/6/landscapeworkshop

This was a first for me as I was a student and learning from Steven Hanna who is a great landscape photographer. This workshop was for Engage Live an online photography training company set up by Donal Doherty. It was an early start as I had to leave Newtownards at 02.30am to make my way to the first location. I arrived at Ballintoy Harbour at 04:00am where I met Donal and Steven. While we were getting our camera gear ready for the first shoot we were joined by Billy and Joel who were doing the filming for the workshop. We were getting set up for a few sunrise shots, although after a few days of great weather the clouds had moved in. We were able to get a few shots at the Harbour which has been made a focus point of the North Coast by the hit TV series 'Game Of Thrones'.

After this we headed to Murlough Bay at Ballycastle. With its stunning views over the bay, Fair Head and across to Scotland. We did a small bit of rock climbing to get to the first spot which was on top of a large rock so we could get the sea shot with Fair Head in the background. This was another great location with stunning views which was again used in the Game of Thrones series. After we had finished our shoot at Murlough Bay we made the short trip back into Ballycastle for a much needed lovely breakfast.

When we all had been fed and watered we went around to Carnlough and to the beautiful Cranny Falls. When we got to the viewing platform there was a bit more climbing as we made our way down to the river so that we could get an alternative perspective to the waterfall. This location was very interesting as I have shot a few waterfalls before and before learning the skills and techniques which Steven uses when shooting waterfalls.

Our last and final location for the day was a short distance from Ballintoy where we first started filming for the workshop. From the Giant's Causeway we made the short walk around to Portcoon and it's old jetty. At this location we tried out the little and big stoppers so we could get some long exposures. After a few shots here we went further around the cliff path to take our last few shots of the day. We went over to the edge of the cliff for a long exposure of the stunning cliffs heading back towards the Giant's Causeway.

A fantastic day spent with Steven making the most of his vast photographic knowledge and getting some great shots of the stunning North Coast. Also a special thanks to the Engage Live and Donal for giving me the opportunity to take part in this fantastic course and I am looking forward to seeing the final video. Kerrie and Jonathan https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2015/10/kerrie-and-jonathan This wedding was in the lovely setting of the Old Inn in the idyllic village of Crawfordsburn.  The day started off at the bridal suite of the hotel for shots of the bridal party getting ready. Then down to the classical lounge for the ceremony.

After the ceremony and a few group photos in the gardens of the Old Inn, the bridal party then went to the nearby Crawfordsburn Country Park. It was a lovely wooded area and we were even able to get down to the beach for a few shots. Afterwards we head back to the Old Inn for the reception for some more shots and the final few shots of the room and the cutting of the cake. The last few shots were on the stunning staircases.  It was a great day and I'd like to thank Kerrie and Jonathan for letting me share their special day with them and wish them many happy years together.

Eilzabeth and William https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2015/3/eilzabeth-and-william First wedding of 2015 and it was on St Valentines Day and love was definitely in the air. The day started of at the brides house for a few shots of the bridal party getting ready. Then down to Belfast City hall for the service. The Registrar was stressing more than the bride and groom as the bride was held up in traffic and was half an hour late for the service.

After the service we got some photos of the couple on the lovely staircase in the City Hall. Afterwards we heading back to the reception venue for some more shots and the final few shots of the room and the cutting of the cake. It was a great day and I'd like to thank Elizabeth and William for letting me share their special day with them and wish them many happy years together.

Sarah and Ryan https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2014/8/sarah-and-ryan Another wedding and another wet day.  This one was at Tullyveery House just outside Killyleagh. This was a new venue for both myself and Junior. It was a lovely house and gardens so we were certain that we would be getting some good shots only if the weather was to pick up. After getting some great shots of the men in the house, the groom was still hopeful that the rain would stop after the services and had even brought the sunglasses as well.

Well after the service the grooms prayers were answer when the rain stop and we were able to get some shots of the grounds around Tullyveery House before everyone sat down for a BBQ for their meal. This was another great day and a great couple to work with. I'd like to thank the happy couple for letting me share their special day with them and wish them many happy years together.

This was good to get tips on how to deal with taking photos at the brides house before the service with the hairdressers and makeup artists working.

Then we  heading into the town to Dungannon Presbyterian Church for a lovely service then afterwards we heading back up the motorway to Antrim for the shoot at Antrim Castle Gardens then onwards to Dunsilly hotel for the cutting of the cake and the final few shots and the group photo.  It was a great day and I'd like to thank Karen and Richard for letting me share their special day with them and wish them many happy years together.

Unfortunately due to other commitments I was unable to attend the houses before the service. I arrived at the Strangford Arms Hotel which was the settings for this wedding. We had time for a chat and a few photos before the bride arrived.  This was the first wedding which I did that had a videographer which was good to learn how he was able to work so well with us.  After a lovely service we took the short journey to Kiltonga for the photo shoot.

Back to the Hotel for the cutting of the cake and the final few shots.  It was another good day and I'd like to wish the happy couple many happy years together.

I arrived at the Stormont Hotel which was the settings for this wedding. it was good to be able to get a few shoots of the men before service. Then it was time for the bride to arrive. I knew Alison through work which put me at an ease. After a lovely service we took the short journey to the Gardens at Stormont. This was my first time at the Gardens so it was good to learn all the good spots for the great wedding shots. The last few shots at the Gardens were great as we got the bridal party with Stormont buildings in the background.

Back to the Hotel for the cutting of the cake and the final few shots. I thought that it was the end of my day at this stage but I was shocked to be asked to stay for a meal. Which I greatly took up the offer. It was a great day and I'd like to wish Alison and Darren many happy years together.

Elizabeth and Sam https://www.andrewmckee.co.uk/blog/2013/8/elizabeth-and-sam This was a Special Day for me as this was my Little sister's wedding and I had the camera with me just to get some shots for myself. She had a Photographer so I had a day to relax and do my job as the usher. The wedding had a touch of a farming theme to it. To start it all off Elizabeth was totally unaware that she had a special surprise. Sam had Brought two of her Dexter Cows up to the house in the morning. At the Church the farming theme was carried on with sets of wellies boots where in place around the entrance of the church. After the church we headed over to Walled Garden in Bangor then on to the Marine Court Hotel for the reception and a bit of dancing. Of course the Cutting of the cake which stunned everyone with the cake designed in a farm theme and was covered in nearly all of the farmyard animals from their farm.

I'd like to wish the two of them and of course Ruby as well all the best in the years to come.
